World-Information Exhibition

Museum of Vojvodina, Novi Sad / Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade
22 March to 5 April, 2003 / 19 April to 5 May, 2003

The World-Information Exhibition outlines the emergence and influence of worldwide communication and information networks on various aspects of society and everyday life. Through exhibits and visual diagrams, interactive installations and digital artworks it describes the multifaceted interrelations between technology and society, politics, culture, art and economy.

  World-Infostructure

Representing the results of World-Information.Org’s research program World-Infostructure’s information displays depict patterns of the emergence of public opinion, the endangerment of the public domain through copyright, the power and practices of the ‘data lords’, and many more.

  World-C4U

World C4U’s keywords are command, control, computer and communication. In the centre of attention are historic and state-of-the-art security and control devices and art projects that use and critically question such technologies and their applications.

  Future Heritage

Future Heritage concentrates on the critical analysis of electronic networks and their possibilities by artists. It displays the works of renowned and pioneering international artists and shows the liveliness of electronic culture - the cultural heritage of the future.
