Born 1958 in Lilienfeld, Austria, Weidel is educational and project manager. She is also founder and publisher of the women's online magazine 'CeiberWeiber'. Moreover Weidel is founder and president of the 'Mentoring Platform - Forum for Women in Career Planning' and of the 'Information Platform for the Third Sector' in Austria. She is furthermore member of the advisory council of the European Commission on questions of the third sector in Europe (CC-CMAF)and co-founder of the Austrian 'Donation Portal'.
