The Surveillance Camera Players were formed in New York City in 1996. They protest against the use of surveillance cameras in public places and manifest their opposition by performing specialy adapted plays directly in front of these cameras to an audience that must watch them through video monitors: security guards, police, school administrators and salespeople.
