The Foton Informator

For World-Information.Org, Foton Records designed an installation, the Foton Informator, allowing the public to participate in the creation of the World-Information.Org / Foton song. Visitors are invited to record themselves while pronouncing the word 'information' in their mother tongue, thus building an international collection of 'information' samples. Afterwards these samples will be turned into an 'information' hymn.

Founded by Hans De Man and Peter Van Hoesen, Foton Records is a record label focusing on experimental electronic sound. Minimal repetition, abstract industrial and twisted frequencies are transformed into multi-faced/phased music, demanding an effort not only from the ears but from the whole body. Foton is surrounded by a network of musicians, designers and visual artists who share the Foton idea of quality over quantity.
